THE ART & SCIENCE OF LIGHTING AWARDS
The Art and Science of Lighting Awards are designed to recognize excellence in lighting products. These awards give recognition to outstanding products that have a dynamic design in the Art of Lighting and are innovative in the Science of Lighting.
The awards program was created by longtime NLB member Mary Beth Gotti, with the distinctive title from Manny Feris of Lutron. The juror panel consisted of some of the most knowledgeable and experienced professionals in the lighting industry. Only Lightning Designers can submit products for nominations.

The Art of Lighting
Award
A lighting product introduced to the market that provides outstanding aesthetic appeal and high-quality lighting, based on the innovative use of lighting technology, materials, and sculptural forms. This product is designed to be dynamic in form.

The Science of Lighting
Award
A lighting product that demonstrates exceptional technical innovation that significantly improves how effectively and efficiently high-quality lighting can be specified and installed. This product also introduces new applications to high-quality lighting opportunities.

PAST AWARD JURORS
The juror panel consists of some of the most knowledgeable and experienced professionals in the lighting industry. The judging criteria give the jurors considerable latitude in how they rank products. The Diverse panel and freedom of criteria lend compatitive debate amongst the jurors, which contribute greatly when narrowing down the selections to only the most outstanding products.
