Did you see products that represent real game-changers for the lighting industry?

Please submit the best lighting products you’ve seen in 2022 for the 2023 NLB Art and Science of Lighting Awards. Award winners are determined by a panel of judges selected for this program.

Awards will be presented at Lightfair 2023 in New York City.

Nominations will only be accepted from lighting specifiers – manufacturers cannot nominate products.

Award Category Information

The Science of Lighting Award

A lighting product nominated in 2022 demonstrating exceptional technical innovation that significantly improves how effectively and efficiently high-quality lighting can be specified and installed, or introduces new applications to high-quality lighting opportunities. 

The Art of Lighting Award

A lighting product nominated in 2022 exhibiting an innovative lighting configuration that has aesthetic appeal or provides refreshing new forms for more conventional luminaires.

The Science of Lighting Award

An additional category that may be awarded at the discretion of the judges to recognize a product nominated in 2022 which advances both the art and science of lighting.

The Art and Science of Lighting Award

These awards may be awarded to products that the judges recognize as representing important lighting design trends. 

Special Citations

These awards may be awarded to products that the judges recognize as representing important lighting design trends

Honorable Mentions

These awards may be awarded to products that provide application improvements using newer technology or application methods.
